BOOTS and BALLS

About Us

BnBLogo In August 2017, Tim Edwards and Shane Campbell had a casual conversation about the idea of launching a soccer coaching facility for children aged 8 to 14. This idea took root, and they, along with Coral Edwards, decided to turn it into reality.

During their initial meeting to plan and structure their venture, the name "Boots and Balls" emerged as the unanimous choice for their business. Their mission was clear: to create a safe and enjoyable environment for kids to learn and have fun while exploring the world of soccer. Their coaching services catered to a wide range of kids, from complete beginners to those already involved in club soccer seeking extra guidance. Initially, a basic logo was crafted for Boots and Balls. The next crucial step was to recruit children. Leveraging their existing connections, friendships, and family networks, they sent out invitations. The date was set, equipment was procured, and the lesson plan was prepared.

On September 2, 2017, Boots and Balls held its inaugural class with six enthusiastic kids. Some familiar faces returned, and new participants joined. The class was a resounding success, and to this day, four of the original six kids continue to be active members of the program.

The new year returned, and with a promise of good things to come, it happened. One of the parents of the brothers we coach, offered their kindness with a free design of our logo. Something to give as an identity.Week by week, the word spread, and by December, the program had grown to include a total of 10 kids. They celebrated their progress with an awards ceremony on December 8, marked by a delightful barbecue (known as a "Boere" braai) and a soccer match between the kids and their coaches. Despite the pouring rain, the event was memorable, and the boys had a blast.

BnBLogo Generosity never ceased there though with these parents, they then went onto designing and producing 4 awesome feather banners!

The new year brought promises of even greater things. One of the parents of the brothers being coached generously offered to design a logo for the program, giving it a unique identity. This act of kindness extended further, as these parents also designed and produced four eye-catching feather banners.

Recently, Boots and Balls celebrated its sixth year in business, reflecting on their remarkable journey. They are immensely proud of the positive direction their business is heading, boasting a roster of 42 registered kids.
